Southward Move of Tianing City Center

According to the planning documents of Tianjin Government, the area in the south of Tianjin along the Youyi road, Hexi District is formally oriented as the financial and business center area concerning foreign affairs in Tianjin. The construction and renovation of Youyi Road will begin in 2004. The first-stage of plan will take three years to accelerate the construction of Youyi road, build dense large public buildings along the trunk line of Youyi Road and form the carrier frame of Youyi Road Financial Street and shape a financial service area integrating finance, commerce, foreign affairs, conference and exhibition.

The Municipal Government will take three years to carry out a large-scale construction and renovation of the area along the Youyi Road, including: perfecting the surrounding environment of completed Yinhe Park from the Central Ring to Heiniucheng Avenue to enable it to connect with Tianjin Museum, forming a high-level, high-grade and high-standard culture and leisure area; building total 1.028million m2 large public buildings along the Youyi Road. The overall construction of Youyi Road Financial Street will drive the prosperity and development of overall area along the Youyi Road, form the central urban area of Youyi Road integrating foreign affairs, finance and conference and exhibition service to enable the overall area from Youyi Road to the external ring to become a new urban functional center of Tianjin and a central display window of urban international image.
